Durango & Silverton Train

The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and Museum is one of the most interesting and breathtaking train rides you will ever take as it runs through the wonderful Cascade Canyon from Durango to Silverton throughout the summer.

We recommend making reservations one month in advance as this is a very popular attraction.

Mesa Verde Ancient Ruins

Durango Mountain Resort

DMR offers great skiing in the winter as well as mountain biking and the Alpine Slide in the summer in addition to a host of other fun activities! Located only 30 minutes from Durango, its convenient to sleep at the Iron Horse and head up there for a day of skiing or relaxing.

The Fort Lewis College Community Concert Hall has some of the best performances around. Less than 3 years old, the concert hall draws big names such as Merle Haggard and Arlo Guthrie as well as hosting various vocal and jazz events by the college students.
